I am a postdoctoral fellow in the Barrow Aneurysm & AVM Research Center. My scientific research is dedicated to improving disease model systems for cerebrovascular diseases. I utilize these resources to gain insights into the underlying mechanisms governing the formation and progression of cerebrovascular diseases and identify novel therapeutic targets.

I am currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Cerebrovascular Neuroscience with a focus on applying functional genomics to model cerebrovascular malformations. I have developed diverse experimental mouse models which now serve as powerful tools for comprehensive investigations and large-scale therapeutic discovery.

During my research fellowship in the Kuchroo Laboratory, I spearheaded the development of precision medicine-based strategies that utilized stem cell engineering to address immunological diseases of the central nervous system. My approach was centered on harnessing patient-derived induced pluripotent stem cells and employing three-dimensional organoid culture to guide the development of innovative therapeutic interventions.

I obtained my medical degree from Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, where I joined the Vajkoczy Laboratory with the goal of exploring critical disease pathways in brain cancer biology. In addition to my scientific pursuits, I completed visiting rotations at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City and Triemli City Hospital in Zurich, Switzerland.
